My Experience in English 111

During my time in English 111 I learned a lot about the writer I am. The things I did throughout the course helped me as a writer in multiple ways. I learned different things I could do to benefit my final piece of work.
The prompt topics that were assigned to us, as well as the comments that were put on my essays were very helpful in making me a better writer. The prompts were helpful because they were personal, but also topics involving a lot of thoughts. When writing the essays that were assigned to us, I had to take the time to think as well as organize how I was going to write my essay. That helped me become a better writer because it taught me different and useful ways as far as which helped me organize my paper the best.
Another thing I really liked about English 111 was the argument essay. Usually assignments that require a large amount of words and research don’t excite me too much, nor do I tend to enjoy completing the assignment. Although the fact that we were able to pick our topic I actually enjoy writing this incredibly long essay. I was glad that we were able to choice a topic we were interested in. Of all the things done in English 111 I enjoyed and found the argument essay one of the most beneficial as well as useful for me in life. I became more comfortable with citations as well as more informed on a topic that interests me, and possibly my future career.
Thirdly, I will leave English 111 with more knowledge on the terms ethos, logos and pathos. I found myself somewhat knowledgeable about those words from the lesson at the begging of the semester but once we were assigned the essay in which we had to take a reflection on our personal life and use those words in content, it made me more aware of the terms.
A life lesson I learned was enrolling in this class with a good friend of mine. Had it not been for Amanda, I may not have attended as many classes. She also helped to remind me when things were due. She would send me friendly text messages saying “hey, did you email your paper?”
Overall I enjoyed English 111. I found my professor as well as my peers in the class very critic to my success. I hope my next English class will be just as enjoyable is this class was.
